
Student interns of Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) from the College of Education (COEd) conducted their field study and student teaching activities during their ‘Portfolio Exhibit, Demonstration Teaching Festival, and Research Presentation’ at the Miguel Romualdez Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday, May 23.
Said event aimed to teach, inspire, and motivate student teacher interns in their various disciplines and programs by highlighting their aesthetic booths and teaching demonstrations.
Prof. Porferio G. Gacgacao, Culture, Arts, and Physical Education Department (CAPED) instructor, shared knowledge that will help the teacher interns widen their proficiency and related programs by enhancing their skills and knowledge through teaching.
“Through the skills and knowledge taught by their teachers, this kind of event prepares teacher interns in the real-life field of teaching. Allowing them to know and experience the reality of teaching and constructing their learned and preferred strategies as teacher interns,” Mr. Gacgacao said.
Moreover, Technical-Vocational Education Department Research Head Prof. Julinito S. Sangutan had the opportunity to acknowledge the student teacher interns with a positive and warm-hearted message on his Closing Remarks.
“Diri magiging excellent atun activities yana nga adlaw kun waray kamo mag suporta, bug-os nga suporta an iyu gin hatag ha amon, damo nga salamat,” he said.

Said event acknowledged student teacher interns’ accomplishments and the work they offered, learning classroom routines, and discussing plans, duties, and activities with their cooperating teacher.
