
Eastern Visayas State University – Tanauan Campus gave spotlight to their innovations and accomplishments amidst the on-going global pandemic during the EVSU 17th Charter Month Celebration broadcasted live at the EVSU official page last August 19.
Campus Director Dr. Benedicto Militante who will lead the said external campus on his 2nd term, pointed out that the theme of this celebration, “Forward and Beyond”, is an affirmation of the university’s committment to continue serving its stakeholders by adapting to technology and other platforms.
“The theme for this celebration, ‘Forward and beyond,’ is a manifestation that even with the pandemic, we as worker in the government gives assurance to our stakeholders that delivery of quality instruction as our main trust will always be considered forward looking educational updates beyond the limitations of digital resources,” Dr. Milante said during the campus’ highlights video presentation.
Moreover, the University also featured the accomplishment of each academic and non-academic offices which are exploring and implementing projects adapting to online and virtual technology to reach more people
“This workforce is the wind beneath our wings, we cannot deny the fact that the contribution they shared to the campus is worthwhile remembering and worth it to be treasured” Dr. Militante said.
Meanwhile, Alumni Regent, Sofio Rocky Caminoc expressed his trust on the university’s capability to move forward and adapt to global changes.
“We must continue to be vigorous enough despite the situation which eventually hindered us from moving forward. Truly our university is being measured and tested but with its continued quest for excellence, EVSU Community always adhere in its core values; excellence, value laden, Service driven and Unity in diversity reserves as the best weapon to alleviate the adverse effects of various problems along the way” Caminoc said.
Before the highlights concluded, Dr. Militante thanked the stakeholders, Local Government Unit, and EVSU administration for their continuous support to the university.
“Happily, for EVSU Tanauan Campus we have made some remarks showing our collaboration and strengthening our partnerships. For how many years, we’ve been struggling how we can move an create developments for the campus. But by the support of the administration of Eastern Visayas State University, with the support of other officials hearing our voices, it’s not anymore for us to meet our dreams and meet the demands of our stake holders,” he said.
