To keep scholars informed on updated scholarship guidelines, stipend procedures, and documentary requirements, the Scholarship Office through the Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO) will hold two orientation activities for all grantees at the Inner Court on Thursday, November 13.

The Scholars’ Orientation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will discuss all scholarship programs in the university, while the Orientation and Monitoring for Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees will run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the same venue.

Attendance is mandatory for all concerned scholars as part of their responsibility to stay informed about their benefits and obligations as scholarship grantees.

Additionally, the Scholarship Office announced that there will be no submission of requirements for Batch 1, 2, and 3 TES and TDP grantees on the said date to give way for the scheduled afternoon orientation.

The orientation will highlight the role of the Scholarship Office in assisting scholars with allowances and documentary requirements, particularly the submission of the Certificate of Registration (COR), Certificate of Grades (COG), Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and other related documents.

Moreover, partner agencies and scholarship sponsors are expected to attend the activity to discuss the orientation proper of different scholarship programs offered in the university.

Meanwhile, Administrative Aide I of the Scholarship Office, Mr. Jake Omel I. de la Rama, explained that the event aims to help students understand the guidelines of their respective grants.

“This orientation will let the students be familiar with the guidelines of their respective scholarships. The TES and TDP are also being monitored regarding the proper distribution of stipends and the process of how these are released—either through bank accounts or directly from the cashier,” he stated.

In addition, the afternoon orientation and monitoring session for TES and TDP scholars will include discussions with the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) Coordinator, Ms. Rhea Mae Baillo, and the University Accountant, Ms. Ruby Mancio, on current and upcoming updates in the TES and TDP programs and the financial assistance guidelines.

Notably, the Scholarship Office will provide excuse letters as proof of participation for students with scheduled classes during the event.

The activities aim to strengthen scholars’ awareness and accountability by ensuring they understand the policies, requirements, and financial processes of their scholarship programs.
