
As Academic Year 2026-2027 officially commenced, Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) – Main Campus recorded 3,223 freshmen enrollees, according to data from the Office of the University Registrar as of Monday, August 17.
The School of Engineering (SOE) posted the highest number of first-year students with 1,019, followed by the School of Education (SED) with 733.
Furthermore, the School of Technology (SOT) recorded 636 freshmen, while the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) had 380, followed by the School of Accountancy, Management and Entrepreneurship (SAME) with 354 enrollees.
Meanwhile, the School of Architecture and Allied Disciplines (SAAD) recorded the lowest number of freshmen with 101 enrollees. The figures were released after freshmen completed the enrollment and registration process, with the data validated by the Office of the University Registrar.
The current freshman enrollment represents a 30.13% decrease from the 4,614 freshmen recorded during A.Y. 2025-2026, a difference of 1,391 students.
