Dr. Annabelle Pilapil took pride in the work, commitment, and unity of the campus workforce in achieving goals and addressing problems during her first term as EVSU Tanauan Campus Director.
The Campus Director, assigned by the University President Dr. Dennis C de Paz, stated in an interview that she is privileged to lead a workforce that comes with the respect that establishes a healthy workplace.
“Talagang maasahan. That’s why my headaches are lesser, because I can mingle with them, talk to them, and they are also open to me if they have concerns. We are one family. That is one thing that I can be proud of – I am walking with people who really come with respect and that is EVSU Tanauan Campus’ faculty and staff. I thank God for the privilege of EVSU-TC,” she said.
According to her, the implementation of programs especially on the improvement of laboratories, facilities, and classrooms was smoothly conducted through the effort of these faculty and staff.
“As to the working attitude of the faculty and staff, I really don’t have a problem because they are very accommodating. They cooperate and we are a good team; good working relationship in the campus from the top down to the maintenance group,” Dr. Pilapil said.
Dr. Pilapil further explained that she is open to suggestions from the EVSU-TC community on generating ideas and addressing issues on hand to improve and develop their campus.
“I always encourage them to open up whatever problem they encounter that needs my approval or intervention. I don’t want them to be talking behind my back and then solutions will not be given simply because I do not know,” she said.
Moreover, Dr. Pilapil also extended her gratitude to the university’s key officials for their support and advice to realize the university’s goals.
“I am also happy for the administration because the University President down to the Vice Presidents, are really supportive. When we have a request, they really give attention, and when we request something that they think is not possible because it’s not accepted by Commission on Audit (COA), they humbly tell me not to pursue and I always listen to advice.”
Furthermore, Dr. Pilapil aims to develop the campus in terms of academics, Infrastructure, and student services.
“It is a challenge on my part to really increase the passing percentage above the national passing rate. I really have a lot of plans for EVSU-TC more on academic and of course on staff and faculty development, improvement of laboratory facilities and probably the student’s services,” She explained.
Meanwhile, EVSU-TC conducted ‘A Day for Tanauan Campus’, in line with the university’s 18th Charter Anniversary Celebration with the theme “One EVSU. Forward Together”, to showcase the projects and talents of their students through an Art Exhibit and a Cultural Presentation on August 5 at the Tanauan Campus.
Said event was graced by Mayor Gina E. Merilo’ representative, Hon. Paul Cinco, together with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lydia M. Morante and other university key officials.
Moreover, Day for Dulag Campus is set to transpire on August 8, at EVSU Dulag Campus still in line with EVSU 18th Charter Anniversary Celebration
