Candidates flaunt talents, fired-up talent presentation

Mr. and Ms. EVSU Candidates from various colleges performed their talents in their journey towards the crown, earlier today, August 24 at EVSU Auditorium.

The event kicked off with a serenade from the first candidate Mr. Vincent B. Galia hailing from the College of Architecture and Allied Discipline (CAAD), while Ms. Dorothy Florence M. Caballero of the same college inspired others with her interpretative dance which reflects the experiences of getting over an agony brought by series of lockdowns.

Meanwhile, candidate number 2 from EVSU Carigara Campus hyped the crowd with a song from Mr. NiƱo Ray Salvacion and a lively hips don’t lie performance by Ms. Kairra Purmanes.

On the other hand, a set of interpretative dances was showcased by candidates number 3, Mr. Zyldjhn Franz Datoon, and Ms. Lovely Rose Rama of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). In addition, Mr. Julio Lorenzo Ramirez from the College of Education (COED) interpreted Anak by Fredie Aguilar with a mixed dance and art on canvass, while Ms. Jane Marie Agao of the same college performed a cultural dance.

Moreover, Mr. Charles Clint Saavedra of EVSU Ormoc Campus sang and danced, and Ms. Desiree Monsalud Solejon performed an interpretative dance of halik sa hangin. Tanuan Campus Candidates Mr. Reggie Aguillon Uy and Ms. Jelah Mae Buna Modesto both showcased a contemporary dance. While EVSU Dulag Campus candidates Mr. Kenth Cadayoc and Ms. Noelle Joy Asuero both performed a song.

Furthermore, Mr. Trix Patrick Morante of the College of Engineering (COE) highlighted tuba in his cultural dance and Ms. Andrea Gail Masing painted the universe on canvass using spray paint. Mr. Myll Angelo Tejano from the College of Business and Entrepreneurship (COBE) presented spoken poetry while Ms. Gabrielle Glenn Caidic portrayed a Disney character named tangled. Additionally, College of Technology (COT) candidates Mr. Dan Jiv Tiozon and Ms. Grasel Cabello performed hip-hop dance and ballroom dance. Also, a pair of candidates from EVSU Burauen Campus Mr. Cameron Shannon Manalili and Ms. Lucky Villasante Tonido both performed a song.

Secondary Laboratory School also flaunts its candidates’ talent with a painting performance by Mr. Ian Salarda Badeo and a broadway song and ballroom performance by Ms. Fiona Ashantei Rebadulla Ver.

The crowd went wild witnessing their favorite candidate’s talent presentation and awaits more of the candidates as they showcase themselves in their journey to the crown of Mr. and Ms. EVSU 2022.

“I am very much excited to witness more spectacular performances later, and I am very excited to witness the new Mr. and Ms. EVSU,” said Mark Gil Bostrillo, a student who was present to support his favorite candidate during the talent presentation.
