EVSU inks MOA; strengthen ties with int’l partners

Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) has reinforced its commitment to international and local partnerships through a series of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) signed at the Graduate School Function Hall 2, Tuesday, February 18.

As part of the highlights of EVSU’s 118th Founding Anniversary celebration, these collaborations aim to bridge gaps among stakeholders, serving as a strategic platform for mutual growth and reinforcing the university’s role as an inclusive institution.

The event marked partnerships with various international academic institutions, local medical centers, educational groups, and private sectors expected to enhance research services, medical programs, internships, and offer numerous benefits that align and will cater the goal of the institution.

Signing said memorandums were University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, other university key officials, representatives from local government units (LGUs), government agencies, and other stakeholders.

In his welcome remarks, Vice President for Internationalization and External Affairs Dr. Danilo B. Pulma underscored the importance of fostering collaborations to broaden EVSU’s impact on innovation and social development.

“Through this MOA signing, we are not just entering into agreements, we were building bridges of knits, fostering innovation, and creating pathways  for greater social transformation” Dr. Pulma asserted.

Meanwhile, University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz highlighted the vital role of partners and stakeholders in fostering opportunities for the community, reaffirming EVSU’s commitment to continuous growth through these new collaborations.

“May I recognize the invaluable role our partners play and we pledge to continually strengthen the ties ensuring that our collective efforts lead to transformative opportunities for our students and the communities we serve”. says the President.

The event also featured the presentation of the university’s newly approved Vision, Mission, and Core Values, reflecting EVSU’s evolving aspirations and strategic direction. The gathering concluded with a joint forum and consultation session with partners, focusing on the performance and skills of EVSU’s on-the-job trainees and graduate students in various workplace settings.
