In connection with the forthcoming Supreme Student Government (SSG) Special Elections, the Electoral Tribunal Committee opened the channel for students to file formal complaints in cases of allegations concerning the official SSG candidates.
Head of the Student Affairs Office, Prof. Edilitha Easter Gervacio, stated in an interview, the steps for students to follow in filing formal complaints.
“They need to file a formal complaint addressed to the Electorial Tribunal Committee, not somewhere else”, the SAO Head said.
Morever, as included in the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL), she emphasized that, in order for the filing of complaints to be effective, the complainer must show supporting documents as proof of claim.
Prof. Gervacio also said that, with their aim to uphold fairness and transparency in this election through this process, they still hope that the filing of any complaints would not cause nuisances in the student community.
Filing of formal complaints is effective only until the last day of the campaign period, April 30.
