
To orient and provide insights on digital presence and marketing, BS Marketing students from the College of Business and Entrepreneurship (COBE) attended ‘REALTALK: Emerging Trends in Digital Marketing, an orientation held at the Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) ORDex Training Hall, today, September 15.
Said event, in partnership with Paytaca Inc., AJPA Media, and Purely Peer as partner companies, was hosted by the Marketing Director of Paytaca Inc. and Managing Partner of AJPA Media, Aaron J. P. Almadro.
Kaye Veloso Palisoc, Head of Digital eCommerce of Uniliver Southeast Asia, gave a lecture about digital campaigns on online platforms.
“My goal was to inspire and to motivate this generation of digital natives and to share what it takes to lead in this industry, principles, practices, and values that they can embody as they venture out in their careers,” Palisoc said.
In addition, she said that as a consumer, a marketer needs to take risks on what buyers should choose based on their preferences.
“Be brave and stay curious, you can go wrong with those things, you take a risk on what you know based on consumers and shoppers,” he added.
Meanwhile, a marketing student, Ronalyn Peña, said that the orientation helps enthusiasts like herself to be well-prepared for business ventures after graduation.
“It is very important because what the speakers shared with us will be applied sooner if we have a job after graduation,” Peña said.
The said event ended with an open forum with the student’s participation and engagement on topics that were discussed by the speakers.
