Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) – Main Campus’ College of Business and Entrepreneurship and College of Education representatives, Val Justin Dagondon and Linel Martinez, were crowned as the new Mr. and Ms. EVSU 2024 during the pageant’s Coronation Night held at the Miguel Romualdez Memorial Auditorium on Wednesday, August 28.

Eleven dashing pairs from various colleges and campuses showcased their talents and competitiveness as they dazzled the stage during their futuristic-themed production number, showcasing out-of-this-world outfits, and confidently flaunting their daring physiques in the swimsuit competition.

They were also elegant and fierce in their emerald green evening gowns and white formal suits in the Formal Attire portion, and mindful and sharp as their wit was tested in the Question and Answer portion.

In a message delivered by University President Dr. Dennis C. de Paz during the event, he expressed his enthusiasm as he reminded the candidates the true purpose of the event.

“To our students vying for the title tonight, remember this: Whether you win the crown or not, you have already achieved something remarkable by accepting the challenge to represent your college and campus. With or without the crown tonight, you are already winners,” the University President said.

During the awarding of special awards, Mr. COBE received the most awards with a total of 7 awards. Meanwhile, Ms. COBE follows closely with 6 awards.
