He emphasized the contributions of the different individuals and immediate predecessor who made significant contributions in their attempts to bring the university in its best shape and for their trust and confidence vested upon him as the new university president.
“The inspiration and example of our predecessors serve as our lighthouse in traversing the roadmap to excellence and realization of our vision and mandates” he added.

Also, he shared what he envisions for the university, stressing the university’s ability to produce competent workforce, change agents, and life winners.

I cannot do this alone without you all by my side. With God’s providence of intervention, we can truly make things happen for EVSU” Dr. de Paz said.
Moreover, he emphasized that the university should carry its mantra forward and beyond, for effective global citizenship and responsible workmanship, and penetrate through walls to reach the community and develop relevant responsive technologies and innovations.
A message for the EVSU community he said, “A culture of excellence and innovation must be at the heart of our continued existence. It must build opportunities in our dynamic and evolving environment in the spirit of equity and productivity”.
“As we live for a new history, let us all work hand-in-hand for the glory of one university. Let us all together move forward for a stronger today, tomorrow, and beyond. Maraming salamat po! To God be all the glory!” Dr. de Paz ended.
