I dashed through the campus gates in a rush hoping that I would arrive on time for class. This week was the university’s charter celebration and class periods had been shortened.
Today, our professor decided to have class and traffic was heavy so it took me quite a while before I could reach the university. I was walking in a hurried manner, sweating profusely and my skin felt sticky from the humid air. I just arrived but I was already feeling exhausted and weary. I only had a few seconds to look around the campus and it was quite vibrant.
Bustling crowds of students gathered around stalls and booths set up around campus grounds. Blaring music was played at almost every stall I ran past and I could hear someone call out to me. I was in a hurry to stop for anyone so I just gave him an apologetic look.
I caught a whiff of the smell from food stalls and it only made me feel hungry. If only I had time to roam around and enjoy but I was already running late for class so I had to quicken my pace. I raced up the stairs and reached the second floor and saw that the door to my classroom was already open and no one from my class was outside.
Just as I finally reached the door, a strong ray of light hit me. It seared right through my eye and it hurt. All of a sudden, I realized I was still in bed comfortably hugging my pillow and still wearing my pajamas. I groggily picked up my phone and checked the time and saw I was already an hour late. “Oh well,” I said, and went straight back to bed.
