Aimed at showcasing the musical excellence of its student body, Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) officially announced its call for student vocalists to represent the institution in upcoming inter-school competition and events through online submissions, October 17
Applicants are instructed to prepare a video performance of one pop song under any of the three categories: Pop Vocal Solo, Pop Vocal Duet, and Pop Vocal Quartet, intended to highlight the singer’s range, tone quality, and stage presence, which is to be submitted on or before October 25.
According to the announcement, interested participants must first accomplish the official registration form through this Google Form link: https://forms.gle/FFxwLrgxXrJCBcw86.
To ensure a comprehensive screening process, submissions must be clear and well-lit, with a duration of two to four minutes, and must begin with a self-introduction stating the participant’s name, academic program, year level and chosen category.
The guidelines also allow instrumental accompaniment but strictly prohibit excessive audio enhancement or auto-tune, requiring the file to be submitted in MP4 or MOV format and not exceeding 1GB in size.
For applicants encountering technical or connectivity issues, a blank document may be uploaded through the form, and the audition video may instead be sent directly to this email address: daniel.triste@evsu.edu.ph
Those who pass the auditions will earn the opportunity to represent the university in their respective categories and will undergo coaching, rehearsals, and comprehensive preparation for the competition.
