
Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) achieved the 61st spot among Philippine universities in UniRank’s top higher institutions for this year, published on October 25.
EVSU also placed third in the Eastern Visayas region, as reported by the ranking organization.
Moreover, Tacloban City-based HEI Leyte Normal University (LNU) followed at 168th nationally.
Meanwhile, Visayas State University claimed the top position in the region, coming in at 33rd nationally, while Northwest Samar State University closely trailed EVSU at 60th.
Other universities from the Eastern Visayas region also made it to the list, including Southern Leyte State University, Samar State University, Biliran Province State University, Eastern Samar State University, and the University of Eastern Philippines.
UniRank generates its rankings through objective, impartial web metrics from independent online intelligence sources, rather than relying on data provided directly by institutions.
The platform also serves as a global directory and search tool for higher education institutions, offering reviews and rankings for over 13,800 accredited universities and colleges across 200 nations.
