Freshmen students are required to present their Certificate of Registration (COR) upon entering the school premises as per instructions by the Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO), today, August 23.

Dr. Sonia T. Enrile, Director of Student Affairs and Services Office stated that the primary reason for carrying out this entrance protocol is for the university’s security purposes.

“For security reasons iton, and evidence nga studyante hira didi. They need to present their COR. Kun waray hira COR, since pipirmahan pa man han registrar, an screenshot han ira student portal as proof nga they are students of EVSU.” Dr. Enrile emphasized.

[It is for security reasons and evidence that they are students here. They need to present their COR. If they don’t have the COR yet, since the Registrar is yet to sign them, the screenshot of their Student Portal will do, as proof that they are students of EVSU.]

Moreover, the Office of Security and Safety Unit (OSSU) took the initiative to take hold of the university’s safety by tightening security.

“Bali yana, an amon gin aaro since waray paman an iba nga ID, an ira student portal para makasulod. Kay makuri kun diri hira aruan bangin mayda diri student mag panggap la nga student, asya iton ginhihigpitan namon it security.” the OSSU stressed.

[Since other students do not have their IDs yet, we are requiring students to present their Student Portals. It is difficult if we would not ask for evidence because someone might enter the premise pretending as a student, that is why we are strict with security.]

New students are reminded to bring and present their Certificate of Registration or a screenshot of their Student Portal upon entrance.
